Case Study: Tourism New Brunswick
The Project:
In the summer of 2010, Tourism New Brunswick launched a new campaign and motto inviting tourists to "PAUSE" and "PLAN" their "GETAWAY" to the Province of New Brunswick.
The Challenge:
Acquiring new and existing tourists to the province using unorthodox mediums to attract visitors and initiate/increase interaction with them.
Tenzing Support and Solutions:
In support of the campaign province wide, the ministry utilized the following Tenzing solutions:
Pics2Web™
Daily activation at select high-traffic tourist destinations
Tourists were captured by Pics2Web™ in front of a portable green screen, provided by Tenzing
Online tourists could retrieve thier photo and select from a variety of destination backgrounds
Kiosk
Using a rich media front-end and data managed back-end, a touch screen application was installed at select tourism destinations
Tourists could search for destinations by provincial route, type of destination or keyword
Name, description, photo, address, GPS coordinates and contact information for destination was presented
Points of interest could be emailed from kiosk to tourists mobile/desktop
Mobile
3,500 optimized destination pages were created in English and French
Tourists who selected to email "points of interest" to themselves received an email including link to mobile page
Mobile pages included destination details and GPS coordinates for easy locating and relative driving directions
